A first idea is a starting point, not a finish line. We sketch, handle materials, test proportions, and look again. Often the most useful change is also the smallest.
A handle moves a few millimetres. A base becomes a little wider. An edge gets a softer finish. These decisions may be hard to see, but they are easy to feel.
We are interested in that kind of progress: the patient work of making an everyday object a little more useful and a little more enjoyable to live with.
